The “Dipartimento di Ingegneria Chimica dei Processi e dei Materiali” (DICPM), established in 1969, is fully committed to
Fundamental and Applied Research in Chemical Engineering
and Material Sciences. The aim is to reach excellence in research,
while contributing to produce graduates of the highest
scholarship and with skills that will enable them to prosper in
their careers and to adapt to a fast changing field like Chemical
Engineering.
The DICPM has three specific tasks:
1. To be engaged in research programs that contribute to the development of fundamental knowledge in the fields
of Chemical Engineering and Material Sciences, procure
support for this research on a continuous basis, and train graduate students. Research activities at DICPM ensure
that our members remain at the technological forefront of their respective areas of specialization.
2. To provide a high-quality education for students in Chemical
Engineering through a comprehensive curriculum distributed
in three levels that emphasizes basic science, mathematics,
engineering and material science, and engineering
design. DICPM staff members are expected to maintain
their high reputations as engaged teachers and to provide a
stimulating educational environment.
3. To be of service to the community at large and to provide
the engineering community opportunities for advanced and
continuing education.
